Elma School District Board Goals
District Climate: Create a culture of empowerment and mutual respect, nurturing a love of learning and the creation of individual pathways through active encouragement and mentoring. Celebrate success at all levels through proactive, positive and sincere communication.
Powerful Teaching & Learning: Ensure that students are engaged and accountable learners, meeting high expectations and demonstrating growth, through differentiated, intentional instruction and integrated technology. Hire and retain inspirational teachers, supported by an effective and collaborative framework that encourages professional growth and excellence in the classroom.
Community & Parent Engagement: Engage the support and expertise of our community and families through diverse partnerships which enhance student learning.
Readiness: Ensure that every student transitions seamlessly into our district, between grades and campuses, and graduates with the life skills necessary to succeed in post-secondary educational and career pursuits.
Early Learning: Advance school-readiness via active outreach to parents and pre-school providers, setting expectations and sharing educational tools. Foster successful K-3 transitions, using proactive assessment and early intervention strategies.
Facilities: Build trust and community support, communicate a message and process that is transparent and compelling—to provide and/or maintain the renovation or replacement of aging or missing facilities.
