The Washington State Legislature passed a law in 2010 requiring that all districts implement a state approved evaluation system that addresses multiple facets of teaching by the 2013-2014 school year.
The Elma School District has a team of teachers and administrators who are working together to make the transition smooth and to maintain a focus on quality instruction for improved student learning, collaboration, inquiry and professional learning. We have chosen the University of WA 5 Dimensions of Learning as our instructional framework and as our rubric for teaching.
