ELPA21

The Elma School District measures the progress of all ELLs annually. Every year, students are assessed during the months of February through March using an assessment called the English Language Proficiency Assessment for the 21st Century (ELPA21). ELPA21 is a system based on the new English Language Proficiency Standards our state recently adopted. The test will measure the language proficiency of ELLs as they progress through their K-12 education and prepare for college, career and citizenship.

ELPA21 Practice Test:

The practice test is available at elpa21.org and can be used by parents, teachers, and students to become familiar with the types of questions that will be asked. You can access this test as a “GUEST” and choose the grade level of the student. You will need headphones/speakers and a microphone for the speaking and listening sections of the practice test.
