TV Broadcasting

Available for Grades:  10th-12th (Teacher Approval)

Graduation Requirement: 

Fine, Visual, or Performing Arts Credit, Occupational Education, or Elective

Description:  Lights, Camera, Action!  Video Production and TV broadcasting operates and produces a TV station and EAGLES Live. Students operate EAGLES TV/Comcast Channel 26 which is seen throughout Grays Harbor County.  Teens are in front of the camera and behind the scenes as a technical person operating cameras and electronic equipment

College Credit: Tech Prep College Credits available, MST 260; Video/TV Production, (3 credits) will be provided through Centralia Community College with successful completion of this class to any student receiving a “B” or better

Description:      The class introduces the fun and creative aspect of using computer technology.  Students learn how to create computer graphics and animations as well as various multi-media aspects of the internet.  Adobe CS4 is the software used for creating and designing web pages. 

Digital Photography I, II

Available for Grades: 

10th-12th

Graduation Requirement: 

Fine, Visual, or Performing Arts, Occupational Education, or Elective

Description:  Digital Photography combines photo taking with current computer technology.  The hands on class  shows students how a camera operates, how to take good pictures, how to utilize light,  and how to use photo shop.  Students learn about the history of photography, light theory,  and special effects.

Yearbook

Available for Grades:  9th-12th (Teacher Approval)

Graduation Requirement: 

Occupational Education, Fine Art with Approval, or Elective

Description:      Students create and develop the high school yearbook using Adobe CS4.  The professional product produced prepares any student for advertising, marketing, and graphic design.  The students also shoot all the photos and go on assignment to all the EHS home events.
